TREKKING IN LADAKH

In the world that is speeding so fast, catch a breath and sync yourself to be in tune with nature! Nature, in the form of a simple activity - trekking, is both therapeutic and thrilling, especially when it is set in the irresistible Himalayan landscape.

With a personal experience of wandering and trekking around this part of the Himalayas for over 30 years and with a professional experience of accompanying fellow trekkers for over 25 years, we can assertively avow that we know Ladakh's landscape like the back of our hands. This helps us create for you a perfectly personalised itinerary depending on our understanding of your search and expectations.

We design treks empathetically with the objective that you make the most of your journey whether you are an inquisitive novice or an experienced mountain walker looking to discover more of nature and yourself. Trekking in Ladakh is a diverse experience, you can choose to trek with the sole objective of admiring nature where you leisure walk and meander through orchards, streams and valleys or you can choose to tackle trek routes that are immersive and challenging.

With every trek, you will walk through the expansive Himalayan highlands immersed in its dominance, its hues and its cold dryness; you will walk through vast alpine meadows where blue sheep trot and yaks forage; you will walk through dense sweet smelling orchards of seasoned fruits; you will walk through the life and lifestyle of the native villages; you will walk though the rich Tibetan culture; you will walk through the soul of the Himalayas. From the mythical slopes of Zanskar to the highlands in Changtang, we take you through a miraculous journey along the mythical trails of this Little Tibet.

Our team is comprised of responsible, spontaneous, kind and experienced local guides, cooks, porters and horsemen who can speak English and French. They are well trained to ensure your comfort and handle a situation of crisis. Being born and raised in this part of the world, each one of us understands the fragility of the Himalayan ecosystem and our role in ensuring sensitivity towards the natural environment. We ensure that the treks are designed in a manner where we are at every point giving back to the local community. For starters, we do this by ensuring that we provide you with a team that hails from villages that you will visit in your trek, we provide you accommodation at homestays and ensure that the food comes from local gardens.

We believe that trekking is a life changing experience. The magnificent elements of nature remind us of how miniscule a place we occupy in this world and this helps us understand the importance of larger issues such as global warming over trivial matters apart from also helping us develop a more healthy approach towards life.

Apart from many customized treks that we design for you depending on what you are looking to discover, we are able provide you with a list of classic treks that you may select from and which we will modify as per your requirements. The list below is not exhaustive and the sample itineraries provided for each route is just a classic sample, we design a number of treks in each region and the number of days, difficulty level, places covered can alter depending on your preferences.
